or as Matt calls it "The Sex Revealation Party"
Sally and I had stumbled across "gender reveal parties" on a television show. The party consists of inviting family and friends where everybody finds out the gender together.
We asked the ultrasound technician to write the gender in an envelope
for us to give to a baker.
for us to give to a baker.
A week before the party, the envelope was delivered to the baker and the
decorating madness began.
decorating madness began.
Sally and I made paper pinwheels, found paper plates and napkins, and found
yummy punch to serve.
yummy punch to serve.
Most of our family and and friends made the trip to Lodi to find out with us.
As the hour passed, the anticipation was palpable. People were begging us to cut into the cake.
Let's preface: Matt was hoping for a boy and I was hoping for a girl.
We cut into the cake and saw this:
BLUE cake. Our baby is a boy!
